Fishing Minigame: the Game

Fishing Minigame: The Game is a group project that was created in my second-to-last semester of college. This project was meant to teach us replication in Unreal and was our first time officially working with Unreal Engine. My group came up with the idea of making a game where you run around, try to catch more fish than the others in a set amount of time, and also stop the other person. Initially, we wanted power-ups between levels, but due to a time crunch, we removed them and ended up with a single level. Although the other levels were designed and are in the final game files, ready to go, we did not complete the level logic in time. For this project, I mainly focused on managing GitHub, the replication, and the lobby system. I also made the base boat controls that leverage UE5’s water plugin for buoyancy and a more realistic water/boat feel.
